Our
Projects

We work on Sustainable materials like natural rubber, Lignin, graphene and all materials that do not harm the environment.

White Structure

NR-Lignin composite material

The project involves making an NR-Lignin composite that has better properties compared to Virgin NR. The Lignin in the NR composite imparts reinforcement, UV resistance, and antioxidant property to the composite. This is intended to reduce or eliminate the use of toxic anti degradants and fossil fuel fillers in NR compounds.

The project is executed under active collaboration with,

  • Lignochem composites, Ahmedabad  - the manufacturer of Lignin, and

  • Harrisons Malayalam Ltd - Rubber Plantation and latex processors

The commercial scale trial was conducted at the processing factory to validate the production process. Samples are now available for evaluation. You may contact me @ jose.paul@ferocitertechnologies.in for samples.

Lignin Adhesives for replacement of UF resins in Plywood manufacture

This project is intended to explore the possibility of developing a Lignin based bio adhesive that can replace UF resins used in plywood manufacture. The UF resins are toxic and results in outgassing formaldehyde during usage. The project is ongoing and the formulation is being tweaked for improving performance.

An MOU was signed between the Rubber park/Rubber board, ALtM and Ferociter.

The project is in collaboration with,

  • The Rubber Park, irapuram, Cochin, Kerala, and

  • AltM, Bangalore

MOU on development of Chitosan based NR products to impart anti microbial properties

The project intends to develop NR based products which has an inherent anti-microbial property. This would be helpful in making NR based medical devices.

An MOU was signed between St Albert's college, Ernakulam and Ferociter

Mentoring of students, internships and collaborative projects with the students of St Albert's college is also part of the MOU
